Role: Head of UX : App / Website / Marketing
Scope of work:
Managing a team of 4x Product Designers, 2x Graphic designers, 1x Researcher.
Overseeing 3x key areas of the business: Product App, Website, Growth.
Expanded the Research function, mentoring UX designers, plus a research hire, as well as improving the way research is documented for future reference (confluence).
Improved business maturity with the help of understanding the need for research 1st approach mindset. The expansion of the Data Team gave focus to priority areas for business & users.
Help businesses mature to work in Agile, with proper prioritisation processes and avoid scope creep with top-down mentality.
Stakeholder management and improve cross collaboration between teams - breaking down silos.
Moved team to Figma / build out a beta design system.
Set-up and run design sprints and workshops.

This feature creates your very own tracker(s )and focuses on what matters most to you. From building healthy habits to breaking bad ones.
Set handy reminders to help you track what you want, when you want.
See your progress and spot patterns
Be your own health detective. Keep an eye on your habits from day to day and see what your health looks like over time.
Discover what actions make the biggest difference, so you know you’re taking steps in the right direction.
Also compare your trackers side by side, so it’s even easier to spot patterns. For example:
does something you’re eating improve your mood?
Do certain exercises improve your sleep?
Keep notes just for you
As you track, you can keep notes in complete privacy to help you remember how you felt on a certain day or after a particular activity.

To improve the App and Website offering for better acquisition and build a robust retention strategy
Helping users gain a clear insight into their health though forming healthy habits and keeping informed through a medically approved content platform
Some examples of what did we do?
Onboarding: Continuously look for improvements in UX to help customers get on to the platform with the least friction (KPI).
7-day retention strategy: build and continuously improve the users engagement during the 1st 7-days (KPI)
Subscription offering
Engagement strategy: build a clear engagement experience depending on where the user is on their journey to a better self (daily tracking, assessments)
Back Pain Hub: this paid-for feature (£3.99 month) allowed users to track their back pain over time.
Redesign of app: for building stronger brand awareness. Plus a new design system to roll out new features more quickly.
DOT chatbot: research to rebuild the experience for better engagement and offering to the user
Marketplace: build a one-stop-shop tele-health platform for the medically approved website offering. Appropriate products were also served on App during the right moments.
Research: Over time we improved our research capability though mentorship and also a Researcher key hire.
How did we do it?
Each piece of work went through the right product discovery phases to establish a user need.
UserTersting.com was used on a weekly basis to test our hypothesis, though moderated/un-moderated tests and also surveys.
